‘House of…’ is a new housing concept that is being rolled out in major cities throughout the Netherlands in response to the shortage of affordable homes for first-time buyers in the housing market. It offers starters the opportunity to rent affordably in the middle of the city by sharing facilities. Sharing is sustainable and saves on costs. And, there is always someone you can have a chat with!
Commissioned by Dutch insurer Athora, Everglow is responsible for the asset management of the ‘House of…’ concept, in collaboration with Curlew Capital – a London investor and developer specialised in student and starters accommodation. With this collaborative partnership, Everglow and Curlew Capital aim to contribute to resolving the shortage of affordable homes for starters on the housing market.
Living in the city centre remains affordable thanks to smart sharing of amenities. Sharing is sustainable and cuts costs. This concept is a step towards resolving the shortage of homes for starters. Early in 2021, House of Arnhem and House of Groningen were delivered, providing a total of more than 312 studio flats and apartments suitable for starters in the housing market. As a resident, you can benefit from many common amenities and you decide the extent to which you make use of them:
In the communal spaces, such as the lobby, lounge or workstations, residents meet up, help each other, friendships grow and collaborations occur.
